James has been working as a translator, both in-house and freelance for over 10 years. Born 1972 in Bristol, a west-country lad at heart, his qualifications include an M.A. in Translation from the University of Sheffield. Following a variety of positions in Lower Bavaria, Languedoc and Hamburg James now lives and works in the Peak District.
Amongst other things, James recently completed the English version of a book for Mammut for the the Swiss company's 150th anniversary celebrations in 2012. He also produced the English translation of Rainer Rettner’s "Eiger - Triumphe und Tragödien 1932-1938", which is awaiting publication.
